Digital Readouts & Subsequent Electronics
Digital readouts (DRO) from HEIDENHAIN increase productivity, save time and provide higher precision and greater operating ease.
A DRO can be installed on new equipment or retrofitted to machines already in operation - whatever the machine's application and number of displayed axes.
HEIDENHAIN digital readouts have universal applications. In addition to standard tasks on milling, drilling and boring machines and lathes, they also can be used with machine tools, measuring and testing equipment, and specialist machines - in fact, they can be used with any machine where axis slides are traversed manually.
Position Display Units
Position Display Units from HEIDENHAIN translate the values measured by linear encoders, length gauges, rotary encoders or angle encoders into an easy-to-read format.
Designed to be user friendly, HEIDENHAIN's Position Display Units can be applied to measuring and inspection equipment, dividing apparatuses, monitoring of measuring equipment, manual machine tools, and measuring machines.
They feature highly readable, alphanumeric displays and simple, logically arranged keypads with ergonomically designed push-button keys. The units have splash-protected front panels and sturdy die-cast housing.
Most Position Display Units from HEIDENHAIN include a data interface that allows for additional processing or printouts of the measured values.
Interface electronics
Interface electronics from HEIDENHAIN result in finer measuring steps, increased positioning accuracy and higher control quality. They adapt the encoder signals to the interface of the subsequent electronics.
They are used primarily when the subsequent electronics are either unable to process the output signals from HEIDENHAIN encoders directly or if additional interpolation of the signals is needed.
Interface electronics can be connected to many incremental encoders, and some of their expansion boards can also process EnDat and SSI.
